What A Year!

Moi! (Hello!)

It has been a very long year in some regard since my last post here. At the same time I feel like the time has flown. For those that know me know the last time I wrote it was short because I had been dealing with ups and down from an SL-ligament damage and finally surgery. I have been in physical therapy and can say lately my hand is finally feeling back to normal (with the exception of a couple hurts). With that I would like to get back into writing about my experiences here in my not-so-new-home, along with other stories or posts.

As some may know during my healing time I found myself getting hooked on crocheting, literally almost every day since last October I have been working on some project and I have found it to be very theraputic for not just my hand but also my mentality. I was let go from my job at the beginning of the year and so have not been working since that time. I do keep an eye out but unfortunately as an immigrant that can not have a conversation in Finnish (or even Swedish) it is difficult to find a job that I am capable of doing. I did try to get into a language program for immigrants that Finland does offer however the class was full and unfortunately it was the last chance I had for that program as my two year anniversary is fast approaching which is also the deadline for the class.

So since the beginning of the year I have been trying to stay focused on other things, like crocheting, working around the home, working on myself physically and mentally and trying to stay positive even on my most difficult days. I hope that this time I can continue blogging like I did and I hope I can put a smile on your face with my posts. Not only will I share stories on this blog, but I have decided to share recipes too, and even some crochet patterns. I hope that you will continue with me on my journey and in the Life of a Finnish American.
